At Grease Monkey, we’re proud to support child passenger safety and share what it takes to become a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technician. The CPS Certification Course is a 3-4 day program that combines classroom learning with hands-on training. During the course, our technicians dive into all aspects and topics like car seat selection, proper installation techniques, and understanding vehicle safety features.

The Grease Monkey Technicians’ training wraps up with a community safety seat checkup event at one of our store locations where they put their skills to the test in real-world scenarios. Upon successful completion, each of them earn their CPS Technician certification, which is good for 2 years. To maintain our certification, we offer ongoing education and we participate in community safety events to stay updated on the latest best practices in child passenger safety.
